ADvent 2020

Journeying toward Jesus

With the many distractions of the holiday season, Advent reminds us that we are longing for something much more substantial. WCF has prepared a number of guide-posts for you to journey together meaningfully toward Christmas. See below for many opportunities to connect with one another and Jesus, Emmanuel, this Advent.

On the Road

Advent Sermon Series beginning Sunday, November 29

As we travel through advent, we remember the story of the magi from the East where they took to the road and drew closer to Jesus with each passing step. We also seek to move closer to Jesus, wherever we might find ourselves along the road of faith. Our worship services will feature dramatic monologues, Christmas music, and the lighting of the Advent candles.

Join us online at 10am each Sunday in Advent at

download the advent DEvotional

As a community, we are using an excellent Advent devotional resource from Christianity Today called Living Hope.

CT’s 2020 Advent project explores the theme of hope as it weaves throughout the biblical story. Each day, read the assigned Scripture and short article, then prayerfully reflect on the prompt at the end. For deeper engagement, use the weekly Bible study sessions on your own or with a small group. To use this resource with your family, check out the hands-on family ideas for children and teens.
