WCF is led by a pastoral/staff team, elders, and deaconsWe invite you to contact us with any questions you may have. The church office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Elders

Elders are active, communing members who are consecrated to provide spiritual oversight, guardianship and direction for the corporate life of WCF. They are particularly called to prayer, teaching, discipling, encouraging and discerning. They are committed to the soul care of the congregation which embraces WCF’s vision, mission and core values. Deacons

Deacons are active, communing members who are consecrated to provide caring administration and organization for the program ministries of WCF. They are particularly called to caring, delegating, overseeing, budgeting and coordinating. Pastor & Staff

  • Del Glick

    Senior Pastor, Presiding Elder

    Del's roots are in rural Pennsylvania. Vocationally, he was a teacher and high school coach before pastoring congregations in Indiana, Florida and Pennsylvania. He's a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University (BS in El Ed), Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary (MDiv) and Chicago Theological Seminary (DMin). He moved to DC in November 2001 to be interim pastor at WCF for 15 months. He has served as lead pastor since February 2009. Del and Twila Frey were married in July 2005. Del has one adult daughter, Renee, who lives in New York City. Del and his first wife, Charlotte, along with Renee lived and taught for two years in China and have traveled extensively.

  • Les Graber
    Building Administrator

    Les has been a member at WCF for 28 years. He was born and raised on a hog farm in Michigan, and is a general contractor licensed in DC. He loves caring for the building and making it available for use in the community, and values being a good neighbor at 9th and Maryland. He and his wife Kristal have two adult children, Nathan and Naomi. Les enjoys running, biking, refereeing soccer, and attending DC United soccer and Nationals baseball games. 

  • Russell Edgerton

    CARETAKER

    Russell began attending WCF in 1995 when he was living in the apartments across from 9th Streeet. He began working as a custodian around 2000. His favorite saying is, "This is the prayingest church around."

  • Anne Strong

    Caretaker

    Anne has been a big part of WCF for many years. Her children were involved in the Neighborhood Learning Center, an after school tutoring program started by WCF that ran from 1984 to 2008. She does much of the cleaning in the building.
