DC127 Virtual Volunteer Training

Did you know that connecting with a family who is experiencing instability can aid in the important work of keeping that family together? DC127 will be hosting the next Communities for Families Virtual Volunteer training on Wednesday, February 3 from 6:00-8:00 pm. They need new volunteers who will commit to meet with a family virtually twice a week, and continue to need volunteers who speak Spanish.The training will cover details about DC127, how to work with children and support families virtually, and what to expect when volunteering. dc127 is an organizition Uniting to reverse the foster care wait list in Washington, DC

DC127 is an initiative of Washington, DC churches focused on working together to ensure the success of every child in foster care and those at risk of entering the child welfare system. As an initiative, DC127 believes we have a responsibility and call to mobilize our communities and congregations to care for some of the most vulnerable children in our city inspired by James 1:27.
