WHAT

One of Washington Community Fellowship's 2020 initiatives is to provide more opportunities for personal growth in relationship with others. Throughout the year, 3D: Deep Dive Dialogue sessions will take place regularly after the service.

3D sessions are multi-format environments for us to unpack the sermons and explore WCF's four 2020 priorities together, using Q & A settings, small group discussions, and large group gatherings.

Refreshments will be provided and childcare is available with registration.

WHY

it is the hope and expectation of Andrew and the elders that all of us who worship regularly at WCF participate in the various 3D: Deep Dive Dialogue sessions after Sunday worship. The 3D sessions facilitate WCF’s fresh efforts to identify our common mission and how we can share unity in the midst of diverse view points. Via different methods, feedback, large-group-sharing, small-group-sharing, 3D can help us as a congregation strengthen our skill at civil dialogue, learning how to love each other while disagreeing with deep differences.

This is hard work that needs practice. This kind of practice cannot be done as individuals. It is vital that we learn together how to practice unity in Christ by loving and honoring those with whom we deeply disagree. This is a counter-cultural effort that refuses to hold on silently to our own opinions during deliberations, then simply leaving or staying depending on the outcome. This is the strange call of the gospel to seek unity and righteousness—the call of Christ to us all to remain in community as part of his body while wrestling with what it means to follow him.

Let us all commit as best we can to practice this kind of love and unity by participating consistently in 3D.

HOW: DISCUSSION GUIDES

Discussion guides will be provided weekly for use in small group discussion to prepare you for each upcoming message.

We hope that you will take this opportunity to allow Scriptures to speak to you in community with others. We will have time to unpack these questions as a community on designated Sundays (Large Group Sharing events).
