Last Saturday, WCF rallied to help set up a new home in Riverdale, MD for a Salvadoran family of six arriving in the coming week. The Lutheran Social Services (LSS) agency has been looking for a partner to assist this family and we’re grateful for WCF’s enthusiastic and speedy response through many donations to this new home. We pray that this new home would be a place of rest and refuge for this family. We’ll be continuing to liaise with LSS and the Good Neighbor Coalition to support newly-arriving families from Afghanistan and other regions. Special thanks to Kendra Brock for spearheading this and taking advantage of a $1000 grant through WCF's Local Missions Fund. Got a creative idea to support a local missions initiative or want to get involved? Contact our Missions Deacon Stacey Frank at missions@wcfchurch.org for more details. May we generously be the hands and feet of Jesus together, Pastor Andrew |
