To be human is to feel longing. Perhaps even more, to be human is to find ways of expressing longing appropriately. It would seem that (at least until we are able to accurately interpret communication of animals) this expression of longing is what makes humans unique amongst the created order. We seek to name and express and find meaning in our longings through words. In the Lent and Easter season, we will explore the significance of particular words declared by Jesus and others that name some of the deepest longings of the human experience. Join us in the coming weeks as we reflect on how Jesus is God’s answer to all the Words of Humanity.
We begin the series this Sunday, reflecting on Jesus' statement, "I thirst" in John 19:28. Join us on Sunday at 10 am.
Longing together for our new humanity in Christ,
Pastor Andrew
