Many of you have likely heard about the planned changes to our Sunday morning schedule this fall (see here for details). Beginning October 8, our Sunday morning programming will consist of two essential components: Teaching at 9:30 am and Worship at 10:30 am. At the surface, it may simply appear to most as a later start time for our Sunday worship services and changing our children’s programming (aka Children’s Nurture in WCF-speak) to coincide with the Adult Nurture prior to the Worship Service. But there has been prayerful discernment by the Elders and Deacons informed by our vision to be a faith community gathered in Christ. We hope that these two components of Sunday mornings together will be a time of Formation (during Teaching at 9:30 am) and a time of Participation (during Worship at 10:30 am) for all of us, whatever our age or grouping. If you consider WCF to be your faith community, find out more as we lay out the Vision for Communal Formation on two important Sundays (September 17 and 24). On September 24, we will have a time for questions and responses after the worship service concludes.
